Footdle ("we", "our", "the app") is a daily football puzzle game. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have about it.
Footdle doesn't require sign-in and has no user accounts. Your puzzle progress, coin balance, unlocked Album cards, Trophy Room trophies, and streaks are stored only on your own device (in local app storage), never on a server we control. We can't see your progress, and uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes it - we have no copy to restore or delete on our end.
Footdle shows optional rewarded ads (watch an ad, earn coins) and, unless you've purchased Remove Ads, occasional interstitial ads between puzzles. Ads are served through Google AdMob, which may use device/advertising identifiers to select and measure ads. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; we don't receive or store your ad-interaction data ourselves.
Coin packs and Remove Ads are purchased through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store in-app-purchase system. Payment details are handled entirely by Google/Apple - we never see or store your card information. We don't maintain any purchase history ourselves since we don't operate accounts or a server; Google/Apple's own purchase history in your device account is the record of what you bought.
We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. There's nothing to upload in Footdle - every puzzle is answered by typing a player's name.
Footdle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (and, per the section above, do not collect personal information from any user).
Since all progress lives on your device, you're always in control: clear the app's storage or uninstall it to erase everything. You can purchase Remove Ads at any time to stop interstitial ads (rewarded ads remain available since they're optional and coin-earning).
We may update this policy as the app changes - for example, if a future update adds accounts or a server-backed leaderboard. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
